Army to Court Martial ‘Birther‘ Lt. Col. Terry Lakin

Via Drudge, from NBC’s Jim Miklaszewski and Mark Murray:

Army doctor Lt. Col. Terry Lakin believes Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief, because he believes (incorrectly) [sic!] that Obama wasn’t born in the United States.

Note to Jimmy ‘n Mark: [ahem] Gentlemen… At a time when America and the world needs to know that the president is credible, the president (incorrectly) refuses to assure us all that his bona fides are just that. While there is no compelling need for him to hide his school records, his applications, passports or birth certificate… there is an opportunity to discredit the radical ‘birther’ element of the right and to bolster his own reputation and image. Yet, still the president (incorrectly) refuses.

Would you, sirs, kindly suggest… why?

[Oh, and by the way… You owe Matt a beer.  If not for his link, you’d have been completely ignored, per normal.  The free market of information really sucks, yes? – Ed.]

Terry Lakin will find out that beliefs and facts are two very different things and in the end his courts-martial will be his own public humiliation for believing something he can not prove. I would love to be there during the military trial and find out what facts he has, internet gossip? Let’s face it no one will take the Birthers seriously until they win a case, but until then, you will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three. The old GOP Confederacy, that is what these liars want, good luck with that.

Gee Levine… We don’t know what Lakin actually believes. We only have NBC’s report of his belief.

I, for one, believe that the president has nothing to hide. I believe that he owes us the confidence and mutual respect to demonstrate what every other president before him has done. If that makes those of us in favor of having the president release his records “dumb, crazy or racist,” then I humbly suggest that it is not we who have a problem.

You, of all people, ought to be demanding that the president slam the Birthers and the wackos out there with the hard facts of his school records, his applications, passports and birth certificate. They would totally destroy the credibility of the complainers out there. What an opportunity!

But you can’t ask that, can you? Why is that?

By the way… Last night’s count was Sixteen.

Frankly speaking, who cares what you and others like you can not prove in a court of law and that my friend is all your problem not mine.

Levine… I have nothing to prove to anyone, brother, here or in a court of law. Lakin’s lack of evidence does not constitute proof that your belief is valid. That’s what it is, too, blind faith.

BTW, Last’s night’c count was Seventeen days of the Omer.

    Shabbat shalom.
