Glenn Beck of 2011 channels John Adams of 1815

2011/01/04

By what do we mean the Revolution? The war? That was no part of the Revolution; it was only an effect and consequence of it. The Revolution was in the minds of the people, and this was effected, from 1760 to 1775, in the course of fifteen years before a drop of blood was shed at Lexington. The records of thirteen legislatures, the pamphleteers, newspapers in all the colonies, ought to be consulted during that period to ascertain the steps by which the public opinion was enlightened and informed concerning the authority of Parliament over the colonies. – John Adams to Thomas Jefferson, 1815

Glenn Beck announces his E4 Solution.

After two centuries, the idea is still fresh. Revolution is still in the minds of the People. Hats-off to Beck for his entrepreneurial spirit.  Methinks… I don’t want to wax negative here.  Rather I hope a lot of people new to libertarian ideals find their boost-up via Glenn’s E4.  It’s about another ‘E’: Exceptionalism,  reaching the G-d given potential invested in each soul.

If you seek Peace, seek first Liberty.

Whether it’s the Torah or the Founders’ works, Going back to the source documents never goes unrewarded.

Which reminds me… Sun Tzu, too, remains timeless.

The Torah, Sun Tzu, the words and deeds of the Founders during the period Mr. Adams speaks of…yes, but also the words and deeds of Jesus Of Nazareth – one doesn’t have to believe in his rise from the dead [I do not] to see the wisdom.

I believe Beck has been a very effective professor of republicanism. Just think how many parents have learned more than a thing or two from Glenn Beck over the past couple of years. I believe most of those parents have taken a hard look at what their children are learning in school, and are doing something about it.

Aside from the histronics, the man is an American hero. BTW, we are the pamphleteers of modern times. G-d bless us all.

We are pamphleteers, Maggie! The Second Revolution is being blogged. (Now if I could only figure a way to earn an income from it the way Beck does…)
