Planned Parenthood and our public school…

Our daughter asked last night at dinner if we could draft a note excusing her from today’s school presentation by a Planned Parenthood representative.  “Of course, love, glad to write a note.”  Never let a solid opportunity go to waste, as they say:

Dear [Sir],
My daughter [ ] will be excused from the presentation by the speaker from Planned Parenthood.

For the record, sir, there is no excuse… for [our school] to be inviting anyone from that organization onto school property.  Do you know who these people are?

“At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the “black” and “yellow” peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger’s American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.”

“The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
– Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race

It is shameful, sir, that [our school] has not seen fit to to so much as basic research into the group, it’s history, it’s values or it’s present activities.  I have no better definition of evil than the Nazi-sympathizing organization called Planned Parenthood.  Have you invited a priest or a rabbi – anyone at all with moral back-bone – to discuss the virtues of abstinence and sexual modesty?  Is the history of Sanger and her colleagues taught at [our school]?  If not, why not sir?

Our daughter reported this afternoon that the class was asked to fill-out a questionaire.  She reviewed the questions and the personal data area – and put down her pen.  To our daughter’s credit, she stood her ground and refused under pressure to “at least fill-out the personal information.”  “Dad, they promised that they wouldn’t read our names.  I didn’t believe them.

What a miracle… Hazach u’Baruch: Strength and Blessings!

Looks like you’re raising her to be discerning and strong-willed. That says a lot for you and your wife. I’m proud of you guys.

Good on you and your daughter Ran. We did the same thing, different scenario last year with our granddaughter’s school over the Obama speech to school children.
