Smells like Alinsky: Is Media Matters Obama’s Watergate?

From Jeffrey Lord at AmSpec: Is Media Matters Obama’s Watergate?

This is a big story. A HUGE story. As with Watergate the information is already gushing in such a torrent that there is only one way to get to the bottom of it.

. . .

A full, complete and thorough congressional investigation — just as was done with the Senate Watergate Committee — is in order.

Amen, Mr. Lord.

Something tells me that the Left has tired of Obama’s weakness – and that Tucker, knowingly or otherwise, is being used as the hit man. It can’t be that Obama’s regulatory-statist, anti-energy, anti-Liberty and anti-American-security policies are the central cause of American Liberalism’s decline. (I rather think it is, pal. – Ed.)  The Left always has the ad-hominem play to hand. Obama, Jarrett, Holder and Reid may well be destroyed personally and sacrificed politically for the Cause.  Of course totalitarian central-regulation and market planning works… the Left just needs to find the right people, yes?

For the record, yours truly has never respected Carlson or most on his crew at The Daily Callgi– er, Caller. There isn’t a whole lot of full-throated Conservatism or Libertarianism going on over there.  And there’s something in the pattern that makes total sense that Carlson should get the “scoop.”

Interesting times.

Interesting article, but, as Lord hints at, the big difference is that during Watergate, the media for the very large part viscerally despised Nixon. Obviously Obama isn’t burdened with that problem; indeed, quite the contrary in as much as it appears clear that the conventional media now actively colludes with the Administration through its agency Media Matters.

F&F/Gunwalker ought to have been Obama’s “Watergate” given the prima facie evidence of criminal conduct by at least one very senior administration official. Yet what do we get from the MSM on that story? Mostly cricket chirps.

In the end, all we can really hope for is that enough independents see the collusion between the MSM and the Obama White House for what it plainly is and become sufficiently disgusted by it as to vote Obama out in November and start shutting off the MSM. There’s nothing quite like low ratings to change media behavior. Profits are bad, except when it comes to theirs.

This administration is untouchable. They have no “gates.” If you are Liberal, your agenda cannot be stopped anywhere except at the ballot box.

What really depresses me is that if the Republicans pursue these perps after the change in administration, you know the media is going to claim “third-world retributive politics” and the like.
